What to Expect at Your Initial Assessment

Your first visit begins with a comprehensive brain assessment designed to better understand how your brain is functioning.

During the Assessment

Small leads (electrodes) are placed on the scalp to record brain activity. These leads only monitor activity—they do not send anything into the brain.

You’ll complete a series of recordings. Each recording lasts about 3 minutes and helps provide a clear picture of brain patterns.

To ensure accurate results:

  • Avoid caffeine for at least 2 hours before your appointment
  • Remain still, relaxed, and comfortable during recordings
  • Keep feet flat on the floor

After the Assessment

Once the assessment is complete, the data is reviewed to ensure quality and accuracy. Care is taken to minimize any interference from movement or tension so the results are as reliable as possible.

You’ll receive an initial overview of your results during your visit.

Your Personalized Report

After your appointment, additional time is spent analyzing your assessment in detail. From this, you’ll receive:

  • An Assessment Report summarizing your results
  • A Subjective Scale, which lists areas where you may be experiencing challenges

This scale is used to track progress throughout training. You’ll complete it at your first session and again every 8 sessions to monitor changes over time.

How Training Works

During your sessions, you’ll wear comfortable headphones while your brain activity is monitored in real time. Your personalized training is designed to encourage your brain to operate within more efficient patterns.

As your brain moves into these desired patterns, you’ll hear subtle sound cues through the headphones. These sounds act as positive reinforcement, helping your brain recognize and strengthen more efficient activity.

Over time, and with consistent training, these patterns become more natural and easier to maintain. As this happens, many individuals notice improvements in how they think, feel, and function in daily life.

Why It Works

The brain is constantly learning. By reinforcing more efficient patterns, neurofeedback helps build clearer, more consistent pathways—making it easier for the brain to operate at its best.
